Daddy Yankee rumors about the reggaeton artist's sexuality own mounted, forcing his team to disallow the reports outright. The speculation about Daddy Yankee's sexuality came after a photo was posted on the internet of two men together- one of them very much resembles the Puerto Rican rapper.

The Daddy Yankee rumors spread quickly once the picture was released, with many news outlets reporting that the rapper, born Ramon Ayala, had announced his homosexuality. Various blogs and tabloids even reprinted an alleged expression from the singer asking for privacy.

"I am a human being like any other, with virtues and defects, and I don't think that [homosexuality] is a defect," the false statement read.

Daddy Yankee Rumor: Rep Denies Singer Is Gay After Alleged Photos

Daddy Yankee's sexual orientation has been the center of Spanish media speculation, claiming the rapper is gay. The reggaeton star, recognizable for his raunchy musical songs like "Gasolina," is claiming that he is not gay.

The story is a bit confusing, there are multiple reports that on Wednesday photos of a bloke resembling Daddy Yankee kissing another man surfaced on the internet, after the photos were released Daddy Yankee apparently released a statement acknowledging his homosexuality and asking for respect and privacy.

The statement supposedly reads:

"Yesterday some pictures were exposed, and I wasn't ready to talk about this afraid of rejection and criticism, but above all for my family and the consequences. The Latest On the Daddy Yankee Gay Rumors

I'm sure you all heard about the Daddy Yankee homosexual rumors. It seemed much more legit yesterday when the Los Angeles Times reported that he had released a statement confirming his homosexuality. Here's the apparent statement:

"I am a human being favor any other, with virtues and defects, and I don't believe that this is a defect."

The 36-year-old Boricua, who's been married since he was 17, is denying the declaration. His rep, Mayra Navarez told Billboard: "Online blogs and social media are once again to accuse for the spread of false news reports. Which other media outlets contain also shared regarding a public figure. The reports circulating regarding Daddy Yankee's declaration of homosexuality was falsely written by an online outlet known for fabricating false information and spreading it through social media sites."

Whether it's true or not, we'd still love Daddy Yankee either way!

Daddy Yankee Gay Rumors Denied by Singer's Rep

Daddy Yankee is looking to shut down the rumor mill that's speculating on his sexuality.

It all started when photos surfaced on the Internet of a man resembling the Puerto Rican painter kissing another man.

Adding fuel to the speculation?

A statement began circulating that purported to be from Daddy Yankee that read, "I am a human existence like any other, with virtues and defects, and I don't believe that this is a defect."

The Los Angeles Times, however, reports that Daddy Yankee's publicist, Mayna Nevarez, issued a expression refuting that the singer ever actually acknowledged he was gay.

"Online blogs and social media are once again to blame for the spread of inaccurate news reports, which other media outlets have also common regarding a widespread figure," said Nevarez. "The reports circulating regarding Daddy Yankee's declaration of homosexuality was falsely written by an online outlet known for fabricating false knowledge and spreading it through social media sites."
