Lucas Ent. goes after Gay Torrent users for sharing video

On Monday, Lucas Fun filed its first such lawsuit targeting 53 BitTorrent users alleged to hold shared its pornographic film Kings of New York…. The time between the alleged infringement and the filing of the federal lawsuit was amazingly short: three or four days. The infringements were detected on August 5-6, and the Lucas lawsuit was filed on August 9.

From an ArsTechnica article about Lucas Entertainment, the gay male porn company launched by actor Michael Lucas. The company has apparently entered the arena of going after copyright infringement violators via online sharing services. According to the article, Eric Green of the Copyright Defense Agency, easily traced the IP addresses of dozens of people who were sharing a Lucas video through a service called gay-torrents.net.
