Based on the popular ‘speed dating’ format, ‘Speed Friending’ is a social event where attendees are paired-up with strangers for multiple rounds of platonic conversations. There will be approx. 10 structured rounds (5 minutes each) where participants will be randomly paired-up with each other. Using recommended ‘icebreakers’, both participants will engage in amiable discussion about a wide range of topics. And once they hear the bell ring, participants will thank each other and ‘rotate’ to the next person.
COVID-19 Protocols: this event will be held primarily indoors (with an expose patio door for ventilation), and vaccination cards are subject to being checked upon arrival. And in accordance with DC law, folks will have to wear their encounter masks if they’re not
