No, I read the whole comment and it still comes off the alike . I mean, you can call the queer/lgbt+ community whatever you want, independence of speech. I'm sure plenty of people had no issue, it just felt like impoverished wording to me and that's what I thought Kura was addressing... which it turns out they weren't.

They're more likely to utilize a more elaborate vocabulary of terms describing being non-gender conforming and behaviors that aren't hetero-normative. More likely to use lgbtqia+, where others stop at lgbt, thinking it fits better on a bumper sticker.
OOOOOOOOOOOooooooh those people, yeah I don't like them(I despise all political activist they come off as idiots who don't know a thing about what they're talking about be it economy, art or the world at massive ), they construct things hella complicated and the vocal minority is what I like to call "acomplejados" thanks for the clarifications.
I also liked rock songs better when they were under three minutes! Depart Ramones!
I like them when they obtain into the 5 to 6 minutes mark, love me some kick-ass guitar solos and some hea
BL series have become immensely trendy in recent years. It used to be that you could hardly find a non-stereotypical lgbtq+ character on a TV demonstrate , let alone a same-sex couple. Sometimes, storytellers would jump through hoops to imply the characters had feelings for each other without actually showing them acquire together. Due to the lack of overt representation, I became skilled at reading into subtext. Are those two guys a couple? Hmm, let me evaluate and fantasize!
Nowadays, BL dramas are loud, proud, and out front and centre in the mainstream market. I'm still startled by how much BL dramas are thriving in countries worldwide, including Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, and even South Korea. Is this a dream? When did I fall asleep and wake up to a world where other people enjoy the obscure BL series I watch? Despite my confusion, I'm glad the genre has taken off because it means there's a growing list of good shows to watch.
I love all the new BL series coming out every other week. I can barely trap up with the flurry of upcoming BL series, but that's a good problem to contain. As I catch up on each show in my BL series list, I will contribute my detailed thoughts and personal

BL and Yaoi: Why is it everywhere?

Hi, I'm modern to Tapas so I hope it's okay for me to post this here.
I've noticed on webcomic hosting sites is that there's a heck of a lot of BL (BoysLove/Yaoi). When I looked at publishing on Tapas, BL is included as a whole genre alongside action, comedy, drama etc. It's strange to me that BL is listed as a genre on here, but LGBT isn't.
So obviously comics with gay male characters are EXTREMELY popular, and all you have to do is look on the front page to see how common they are. I was curious as to people's thoughts on why this is?
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with comics with gay male leads, and I enjoy some myself, but it's difficult not to notice the trend.
I hope this topic isn't too controversial and people feel relaxed sharing their opinions on this.

I have a confidant who loves BL (she calls it slash, I don't know if that differs from yaoi/boy love?) and her explanation is simple: slash has finer written/drawn media, the relationships usually have better dynamics than straight ones, male characters themselves are usually more fleshed out and better written so she's drawn to them
