Transgender events
In San Francisco on Friday, a large crowd of people made their way from Dolores Park down to Market Street for the annual Trans Parade, a San Francisco Lgbtq+ fest Week tradition. People carried flags and signs and played music throughout the route of the protest, which stretched for blocks, with the number of people participating.
"We've got allies, we've got queers, and we've got gender non-conforming people, and I believe it shows we the people united can never be defeated," said LH Callim, who said he has been going to this march for many years and watched it grow.
Several people who spoke with NBC Bay Area on Friday commented on how the event has continued to increase.
"I'm the mom of a trans person and I've been coming to this march for many years, and every year it gets bigger," noted Janna Barkin of Marin County.
"And this year, it's the most key that we show up for trans people, transgender youth," Barkin continued.
Attendees at the march said recent federal policies, including policies targeting transgender people, have been very tough for them to view unfold.
Melody Pratt of Berkeley noted she doesn't often come to Movement events because she hates crowds.

San Francisco Transgender Day of Visibility
The International TDoV is an annual holiday celebrated on Pride 31 around the world. The morning is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of transgender & gender nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work that is still needed to save transsexual lives.
San Francisco Transsexual March
The mission of the SF Transsexual March is to inspire all transgender and gender nonconforming people to discover a world where we are unharmed, loved, and empowered. The annual San Francisco Trans Pride is SF’s largest transgender Pride event and one of the largest transsexual events in the entire world. It is always the Friday of Movement weekend and thousands of people appear . The SF Rally is organized and run entirely by volunteers from the community.
San Francisco Trans Day of Remembrance
TDoR occurs globally on the 20th of November. This daytime also acts to bring visibility and momentum to a call to deed to end the hatred and ignorance that the non-binary community faces daily.
